Bishops Castle Farmers' Market - Local Markets Shropshire
Bishop’s Castle’s Farmers’ Market started in 2000 in the Town Hall and has grown considerably since September 2006 so now between 20 and 25 local producers sell their excellent food and produce each month in the Town hall and the adjacent Market Square.
3rd Saturday of the month, 8.30am-1.30pm.

Ladies of Mainstone – baking, preserves & garden produce
Jane Frank – cosmetics
Acanthus – preserves, chutneys, pickles, pork pies

Olympic Torch Relay to Cross the Iron Bridge
In its 230 year history the world's first iron bridge in Shropshire has been crossed by millions of people, horses, cattle, cars, trucks, members of the Royal family and even an elephant, and on the 30 May 2012 the Olympic Flame will be crossing the famous Iron Bridge at the heart of the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site, as part of the London 2012 Torch Relay.
