About All The Little Shops - Shropshire

Following the success of All The Little Shops / Shrewsbury, Wombourne and Chester this website has been developed to help the independent retailers, and local producers in North and South Shropshire. Initial funding has been made available via Mercian Developments, a local property development plc and BeVivid, a local internet consultancy. It is hoped that we will attract local authority funding to develop the website further.

The website will be far more than a directory of local shops and destinations - the site will be a full e-commerce solution and enable independent retailers to list their products on the internet and show a selection of what is available in-store and sell online if they wish, using a secure single payment gateway. Once established we will offer printable discount vouchers, loyalty cards and group e-mailing opportunities to help independent retailers embrace the Internet and trade on a more level playing field with The Multiples.

By linking with local tourism, farm shops, local news and promoting the Shop Local scheme we look forward to creating a sustainable internet portal to help visitors to the market towns in North and South Shropshire discover the soul of our market towns - the Independent Retailers.

To lunch the website we are offering the opportunity for ALL independent retailers to register their shop or service totally FREE without any obligation.

All the Little Shops is seeking grant funding to help further develop this important initiative. If successful it will mean the majority of the costs for additional features will be covered and allow the first 20 independents or more, in each Market Town, to add their shop and up to 30 products - again totally free!

The project is open to all independent retailers in the region including Whitchurch, Oswestry, Ellesmere, Wem, Market Drayton, Bridgnorth, Church Stretton, Craven Arm, Ludlow, Clun and Bishops Castle. This joint marketing initiative can only work if the independent retailers pull together to make it happen.
